On the evening of Monday, April 6 the National Museum of Ireland received a report of discovery of archaeological human remains in Swords, Co Dublin through An Garda Síochána.  Archaeologists from the NMl and Fingal County Council inspected the site today and are now working in close co-operation with the National Monuments Service of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and An Garda Síochána to protect the site. The site, where archaeological remains were previously found a number of years ago, has now been cordoned off to protect it until such time as further investigation can safely take place.
